ADRIAN MARITZ1947-2007Rest in PeaceAdrian Maritz, AKA Bladrian, AKA Blade sadly passed away on 29th May. He was considered as part of our family at F1-Net and will be missed massively. It has been a huge shock for us and we all send our deepest sympathy to Blade's son, Cady. In the words of Cady 'Blade was a legend.' Not a single person who knew him would dispute this. He was straight-talking and defended his views to the hilt. Blade experienced a lot in his lifetime and wasn't afraid of sharing anything that he'd learned along the way (which was a lot). He was a great guy and the world is much emptier without him in it. On the following pages I have gathered messages from well-wishers and friends of Blade from F1 sites all over. The first message is from Cady, followed by the messages from F1 NET, then a special note from Blade's close friend, Tom. This is followed by various messages from other websites. The diversity of these comments are testament to the respect that Blade commanded from people and the friendships he formed with people from all around the world. They also illustrate what a huge part motorsport played in Blade's life. Rest well my friend. Gemma P.S. On a personal note I'd like to express my thanks to Blade for introducing me to my friend Cady. Blade spent so much time telling me how proud he was of his son. This occasion would have been no exception, Cady has shown so much strength, I'm proud of him too. My thoughts are, as always, with you Cady. x |
